Both proposed new student residences are located on the York University campus in Toronto, Ontario, on a site formally containing a student/visitor parking lot. Building C6A is an 8-storey building that contains 330 suites, a total of 469 beds, common areas, lounges and study rooms on each floor. The approximate GFA of building C6A is 192,514 square feet. Building C7A is a 8-storey building that contains 251 suites, a total of 361 beds, common areas, lounges and study rooms on each floor. The approximate GFA of building C7A is 152,042 square feet. The overall project consists of 581 suites and 830 beds. Both buildings (C6A & C7A) have a mixture of all suite types, suites that range from a 1 bedroom, 1 washroom; 2-bedroom, 1 washroom; 2-bedroom, 2 washroom and even 4-bedroom, 4 washrooms. C6A and C7A also include plenty of bicycle parking/storage, study rooms, lounges, as well as staff rooms, laundry, and garbage rooms.
