Buttcon in joint venture with EBC is overseeing the construction of a new Operations Centre and Warehouse for Hydro One Networks Inc. in Orillia, Ontario. This single project, estimated to be valued between $50M to $60M, entails the development of two structures on adjacent properties.
Both the buildings will be one-story conventional steel framed structures with high-efficiency insulated metal panels and a 2-ply, hot applied, built-up roof system. They will be outfitted with high-efficiency mechanical systems, energy-efficient LED lighting, and comprehensive wireless internet coverage. The buildings will also feature a centralized Building Automation System (BAS), access control and CCTV systems, and a natural gas generator for backup power. Upon completion, these state-of-the-art facilities will fulfill Hydro One's operational demands, adhering to current industry, regulatory, safety, and operation standards.
