The new Fairvern Nursing Home Redevelopment will replace the existing location that is 70 yearsold and comprised of 76 beds that was designed to meet the 1972 design standards. The Fairvern Board of Directors began planning for redevelopment in 2012. The Fairvern Nursing Home redevelopment will be a minimum 160 bed, 3 Storey/ 4 level facility designed to meet current MLTC guidelines and the latest best practices in Infection Prevention and Control. The project site is located north of the historic downtown of Huntsville, ON west of Highway 60, east of Centre Street between the intersections of Hanes Road and West Road on a new Municipal road. The site is envisioned to be a mixture of varying scales residential buildings, low scale commercial and the new Fairvern Nursing Home.
