Description:
Originally built in 1958, the Calgary Correctional Centre is located at 11808 85th Street NW, Calgary Alberta. This Deep Energy Retrofit project entails both window replacements (roughly 500 exterior windows) throughout the facility and asbestos abatement to many of the ceilings (roughly 3,000 m2).
The high security facility will be occupied during the course of construction. Area's/wings of the complex will be emptied to accommodate this work. Phasing, Coordination and communication will be crucial. One wing can be emptied at a time and security is of the utmost importance. The project is being delivered under a Construction Management contract.
